Bingo

I hope everyone had a great holiday. Our family festivities are over, and I'm kind of glad! My birthday is Tuesday though, so I have a little bit more celebrating to do prior to going back to work on Wednesday. I *think* I felt the baby move yesterday and last night. It's hard to explain the feeling, but since it's nothing I have previously felt, I think that's what it was. It kind of felt like a muscle twitch, but I couldn't feel it from the outside, only the inside. I have an appt tomorrow, so we will see!



The baby gifts are already pouring in. I feel like it's slightly weird to buy a gift for a baby who isn't here yet, but I guess people are just excited. My MIL is especially excited, so the point of being obssessed! She is retired and has too much time on her hands. I feel like this will get WAY worse once the baby is actually here. I guess I shouldn't complain that she is excited, but it gets a little old as she and I are very, very different.



D also gave me a WI onsie from the UW bookstore. I am a WI Badger alum, so I loved that gift! I thought it was very sweet that he bought something for the baby!



At my dad's side of the family Christmas last night, we were at the Legion Hall in the tiny town where my grandparents live. The group has gotten quite large-28 people or so-so we usually have our Christmas dinner someplace large enough to accomodate everyone. This year we also got to play bingo! Bingo in a legion hall is pretty much as um...awesome, as you would think (not very). Here is picture of D with his bingo card. He won a large pack of Juicy Fruit. For real. Dream big!

Lose My Mind, Gain a New Living Room

So, I think Pregnancy Brain is in full swing. In the last 16 weeks, I have lost: a new scarf, a sweater, my Blackberry case, and my uh...Blackberry, which is my work phone. I actually had the sweater in the car on the way to dinner. I took it off in the car as I was getting too warm. The next day? No sweater. I didn't take it out of the car. I'm thinking it was on the floor by my purse and I kicked it out when I got out. Seriously, who does that??!! I actually left my phone at a restaurant, and luckily the waitstaff scrolled through my phone and called my mom's work, where someone knew me and knew where I worked, so the server left me a voicemail at my desk phone! Losing the case was a separate occurrance! Argh. Luckily my brain seems to be functioning properly when at work, it's just normal every day things I evidently can't handle anymore! I'm losing it!

On an unrelated note, D and I decided that since we didn't get to go to Hawaii with the fam, we made our last big purchase before the baby, and that was new living room furniture. It feels like a new room, and I love it now!
