I know many others have already mentioned this on their blogs, but Mother's Day still really made me think of those who are TTC rather than those who are actual mothers. Kind of weird how IF makes your mind work forever. But know I was thinking about you all: pregnant, mothers, or TTC.

Happy Belated Mother's Day!
I know many others have already mentioned this on their blogs, but Mother's Day still really made me think of those who are TTC rather than those who are actual mothers. Kind of weird how IF makes your mind work forever. But know I was thinking about you all: pregnant, mothers, or TTC.

Complexion
I have always struggled with acne; I think it started back in 5th grade or so. It has actually gotten worse as I've gotten older for whatever reason, with my mid-20s and 30s being the worst! I've seen dermatologists with varying results. Going off the pill definitely didn't help. When I started Clomid, my skin was the very worst it's ever been, by far. I was embarassed every day! I started using Mur.ad products, which I found pretty helpful, but expensive.
I am very, very surprised to discover that pregnancy has given me the best skin I've EVER had! I really can't believe it. I thought for sure I would be in for the worst yet, and you can't use Retin-A or any of the good stuff. I just use Neu.tro.gena Ac.ne Stres.s Contr.ol now, and seriously, all clear! I am thrilled!
Other than that, nothing new to report. I am still really tired, but that is about it lately.

11 Weeks
Maybe I'm just a negative person, or maybe it's the IF Is In Your Brain Forever syndrome, but I really didn't think I would make it this far. I guess I have just been cautiously optimistic up to this point, but I wouldn't say I've just thrown caution to the wind and have become full-blown excited. As D keeps saying "we just obviously don't have good luck with this stuff!" It's getting easier with each passing week, but I still wish there were more appts just to make sure everything is okay in there! I don't have another one til the day before Thanksgiving, and I think after that and being safely in the 2nd trimester at that point will make me breathe a little easier.
New symptom time! Holy sh*t am I clusmy! On Sunday/Monday, I dropped a pan, dropped a cup, broke a plate, and managed to spill coffee all over our kitchen floor, down the leg of my pants, on my coat, and INTO my shoe! That was a great start to Monday morning! I wouldn't say I'm normally the most coordinated person (you'd never know I was a gymnast for 14 years!), but this is ridiculous. I have read that it's normal as your body's center of gravity is thrown off. Wait til I get big! Maybe I will need to wear a helmet and take the short bus to work. :=0

All Stocked Up
So I just bought some prunes at Trader Joes for my office at work. So now I have a drawer full of granola bars, 100 calorie packs, and Halloween candy for the occasions when I am suddenly starving. And then the prunes for when I can't....well, you know. It's like my grandma's cupboard in my office! Not to mention Pepto and Tylenol and Tums. Good times!
