I think I'm in Love with Chips!

Have you guys tried Parme.san Tu.scan Herb Bak.ed Lay.s? Oh my. Sooooo good! Apparently I am easily pleased and motivated by food. I would blame that on Baby Wilkie, but that is really nothing new!

So I think I have mentioned that due to some layoffs at my company earlier this year, my hours were cut from full time down to 24/week. While not ideal, I was happy to still have a job and hoped they would get increased again at some point. It actually worked out pretty well to have time off during the summer, especially with all my IF and acupuncture appts. Obviously we missed the extra money, but who can really argue with all that free time! Then when I got pregnant, it was nice to come home and nap. It was a big challenging to do my job while not there half the time, but I have gotten fairly used to it without doing a bunch of extra work at home that my salaried self is not getting paid for. Well, today my hours got increased to 34/week. I'm thrilled! But part of me is wondering if the reason I've been loving my job so much lately is because I have had so much time off! I'm worried that working more again will just make me dread the work days like I used to much of the time. I hope not! I will have to decide quickly how I want to make my new schedule, as I am starting to look into daycare and will obviously have to tell them my schedule. 34 hours is kind of an odd # to work with.

Speaking of daycare, what a large task this is going to be! I was hoping to just get a recommendation from someone I knew, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen, so I have to start calling places off a list I obtained. For some reason I really hate making phone calls like that. I would much rather email the contacts, but my list doesn't include email addresses. Oh well, I will suck it up and get calling!

More Adventures in Maternity Clothes

So since I have really nothing exciting to report lately, I thought maybe I would take a "maternity clothes pic of the week" or some other nonsense. I obviously have to get better at taking pictures of myself, it takes me forever and none of the pictures are decent! I always want to get into my sweats ASAP when I get home from work though, rather than wait until D is around. I tried to figure out the timer on our regular camera, but alas, the camera is evidently smarter than I!

So here you have my outfit from today. You will have to excuse my lame excuse for a mirror; (thanks IKEA!). It's like a distorted circus mirror!

Skirt: Old Navy Maternity. I spent most of the day hiking it up and readjusting. It's really too big yet, and it's a size XS! WTF. I have to order online though, as we don't have an Old Navy very near here that has maternity.
Boots: Chinese Laundry

Sweater: Kohls

Tights: Vera Wang for Kohls

These pants, however, are the biggest WTF of them all. Uh, yeah.

So they are size small Old Navy bootcut. Look at the "real" waist sticking out from the "panel" waist. What am I supposed to do with that? I know! I will send them back, that's what.*SIGH*.
I've been to quite a few stores lately to look for pants for work, and have come up pretty empty-handed. Many are too short or just plain don't fit right. These kakhi pants are actually pretty darn slim in the rest of the body, so I don't think skin tight on the ass pants would look good by the time my stomach catches up! LOL. Maternity clothes are way more challenging than I anticipated. I was kind of looking forward to shopping for them, but I'm over it now! Sorry for all the whining. Nothing puts a girl in a foul mood quicker than a wardrobe "crisis"!

My Lucky Day

So I had a massage this afternoon, my 2nd since the BFP. Getting massages are my favorite indulgance BY FAR. I really love nothing more. If D was a massage therapist, my life would be complete :-0 He doesn't even give much of an effort and acts like it's a huge chore though, so I will gladly just pay someone else to do it! I am normally pretty tense and have crappy posture. That coupled with lots of computer time, and my upper back and neck are usually in rough shape. Today was just the 2nd time I have been to this particular place. It's small and hasn't been around for long. The therapist (Ishmail!) asked if I would be willing to give a pregnancy testimonial for their website. They have other testimonials on there from athletes, etc. He said he will see me for the rest of the pregnancy once or twice a month and give me $20 off each session. Um, yes please! Sign me up!

He told me today he could definitely tell that my muscles are lacking hydration, especially my legs. I have never had anyone tell me that before. I feel like I do a pretty good job drinking water throughout the day, but I guess not! Just what I want to do is pee more!
